From 5 – 7 October the Whisky Exchange will be hosting the annual “Whisky Show” at Vinopolis, London. It is looking like this year is going to be a special one with many exclusive samples of single malt whisky.
The dram list for this year hasn’t been finalised, but already there are around 450 whiskies ready for tasting.
Whisky Exchange Tasting Opportunities
Customers to the Whisky Exchange will also be able to buy tokens which can be exchanged for tastings of some very rare whiskies, some costing over £2000 a bottle. Tokens can be purchased for £10 each and then can be exchanged for tasting. Whiskies up to £1000 will cost one token, between £1000 and £2000 2 tokens and over £2000 3 tokens. Here are a sample of the whiskies on offer to taste. (By the way, to check out these whiskies at the Whisky Exchange, then click the link).

Special Displays From The Whisky Exchange
Balvenie will be hosting a live distilling demonstration at the show in conjunction with Edinburgh’s Heriot-Watt University. They will be using a small still to make spirit. They will also demonstrate coopering skills and share with the public how to produce the perfect dram.
There will also be something special from Glenfiddich. They will be bringing exclusive drams to taste in the Glenfiddich Yurt. The yurt was trekked to Everest Base Camp in 2012 during the Walking With The Wounded Everest Expedition, where it was used to host the World’s Highest Whisky Tasting.
