I came across a new whisky that I’d never heard of before – Tasmanian single malt whisky. They already export to 10 European countries as well as Singapore and China. Now they are starting to export to the USA.

So what do we know about this whisky?

The distillery is situated in Sullivans Cove, which also gives it’s name to the single malt. They use locally sourced barley from Tasmania and pure rainforest water. They are now building a reputation for high quality single malt whisky. In fact last year they won the World Whiskies Awards 2011 – Best Rest of the World – for the 12 years old and under catergory.
